Dear beloved friends home and abroad,

A Happy New Year, 2019.

“So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:' Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts”. (Zechariah 4:6)

May the Hope and Peace of this season remain with us throughout the New Year!

How grateful we are for those of praying parties and beloved friends who have kept us in their caring over the year passed and coming by.

I am so well and enjoyed a reasonable year and sending to greeting by this SNS (blog, FB, twitter, Instagram, and e-mail) this year though I always prefer to see you face to face or write "real" cards at least.

I am spending the holidays in Kyoto with Yuki and Koto. My son, Tate has been studying in U.S. as s Ph.D. student since September 2017. Tomo has been studying and working in the Netherlands as a post graduate student. Koto has studying child welfare as a graduate school of the Osaka University in Japan.

This year has been yet another full and busy year for me. I continue to teach social work at the Doshisha University as a full-time professor.  And I had some opportunities to give special lectures as a keynote speaker for some academic conferences.  And also I had a lot of opportunities to preach the gospel messages at some Christian conferences and local churches. Sometimes I had several opportunities to give a kind of “chapel concert” with Yuki’s singing, Koto’s violin and my classical guitar.

With prayers for health and happiness for you and all those you love,

May these Christmas be your blessed Holiday, and may this Coming New Year bring you, your family, and friends many occasions of joy and happiness!

In Him

KIHARA, (KAZ) Katsunobu
